    3) My current favorite is a relatively new manufacturer locally owned, called Sharffenberger Chocolates. They also have a website & virtual tour. Their chocolate has so much cocoa that it's actually gritty. Yummy! They also have individual 1-serving bars called "nibby bars" which are available at local markets. Haven't tried their hot chocolate mix yet, but their baking chocolate gets rave reviews.

I love dark chocolates so this review is biased. I think the Scharffen Berger Nibby bar was delicious. I don't like overly sweet chocolates, nor do I enjoy very creamy ones. On both those characteristics, the Nibby bar was perfect. The chocolate had a firm texture punctuated with crackly cocoa bean pieces. The slight bitterness of the cocoa pieces were an excellent complement to the chocolate's light sweetness. I thoroughly enjoyed the Nibby bar, and am looking forward to trying other chocolates by Scharffen Berger.
