Announcements

Announcements are arranged reverse-chronologically.

Wed. Jan 13:

Because of my illness, I moved one of the assignments due on Wed. to one class session later. Also, I wanted to reiterate what I said in class today, for y'all to please come and see me if you aren't sure how to do the assignment. Programming is best learned in little snatches and a lot of trial and error. Don't think just because you saw something demonstrated in class that you know how to do it; you have to try it to see. We have a small class; I'm here to help!

Mon. Jan 11:

Unfortunately, I came down with a cold/flu, and so am canceling class today. Please do the assignment listed on the Schedule for Wed. (it's a computer-based tutorial that should be review for most folks...if you have problems with it, please see me on Wed.), and please read through the Syllabus. Note the grading breakdown: Do not underestimate the importance of the assignments and quizzes! In the Syllabus, also please pay careful attention to the section under "Collaboration" entitled "The Internet and Programming". Please do not plagarize another's code! Finally, a reminder that this course does not satisfy any General Education area requirements.
