Following Booth et al. Ch. 12, create the working introduction and plan for the body for your Major Paper 2. We will refer this as your "planning outline." Be sure to follow all the directions in Sections 12.2.1-12.2.3 (p. 179-184); the one caveat is noted below. For this Minor Assignment, you will turn in items 1-4 in Section 12.2.1 and items 1-3 in Section 12.2.3. Thus, your MA will look like this:

Note that in the Booth et al. directions for the "Plan of the Body," items 1 and 2 ask you to write the background/section headings on separate sheets of paper. This is a good thing to do, in general, when you are planning your paper, but for this MA, to conserve paper, you can write those items on the same sheet of paper(s).
