In Chapter 2 of Sandler, he notes four types of environmental virtue:
- virtues of (weak) sustainability
- virtues of environmental activism
- virtues of communion with nature
- virtues of interpersonal benevolence
In 150–250 words, explain how the particular environmental issue you want to study for your final paper can be analyzed in terms of one of these kinds of virtue. You can do this in one of two ways. Either a) explain how the environmental problem can be said to result from a lack on this kind of virtue, or b) explain how a necessary part of the solution to the particular environmental problem would entail cultivating this kind of virtue. In your paragraph(s), be sure to give a definition of the kind of virtue you want to use in your argument.
