MA: Critique of Christianity

Provide a 400-500 word "response-critique" of the of one of the criticisms leveled against Christian positions regarding the environment, as described in the pertinent class readings. Choose one narrow topic among the multiple criticisms against Christianity, (e.g., other-worldliness, dualism between material and spiritual, mono-theism, etc.). Do not write a response-critique about all the arguments presented in the readings.

A response-critique is not as structured as an essay (for instance, it does not have to have a thesis statement), and paragraphs may not interrelate as tightly as in an essay. However, each paragraph in the response-critique does have to have a topic sentence, and the logic within the paragraph must be linear.

At the onset of the response-critique, summarize in two to three sentences the essence of the position to which you will be responding. This will give your response a focus, even if your response does not contain a thesis statement. Avoid "straw man" caricatures, pathos-based appeals, or arguments solely dependent upon your own personal experience.

As usual, this assignment must be typed, double-spaced, 12 point Times New Roman, with 1 inch margins all around.
