Assignment
Select a world religion or worldview and describe how this worldview would approach your chosen environmental topic. Describe how the Bible would approach the topic. Compare and evaluate the two approaches.
Note that the focus of the paper is how these two different worldviews would view your topic, not the scientific details of the environmental problem per se. You only need to discuss enough of the science of the problem to frame your worldview discussion. Thus, the science portion in this first paper will only be around one to two paragraphs.
Format
The paper should be five-pages long, double-spaced, 1 inch margins on all sides, 12 point Times New Roman. Five pages is the minimum and preferred length. Your list of references does not count towards the page requirement.
Grading
- 10%: Outline (pass/fail).
- 10%: Writing Advisor feedback session, with feedback incorporated, as appropriate (pass/fail).
- 10%: Peer review feedback session, with feedback incorporated, as appropriate (pass/fail).
- 70%: Final draft (structure, argument, prose).
