Having not met for decades,
could two brothers recognize each other?
Departing from the Taiwan east coast,
young brother treads on water east bound.
Walking, walking, hardship all the way.
Sickening, hurting, falling down, but rise again.
Leaving from Seattle,
old brother travels west bound.
Working, working, hardship all the time.
Erode the back heel of shoes to make living.
The sun rises, the moon follows.
Day or night, they light up the Pacific.
Spring goes and autumn comes.
Tides rise and fall.
Countless years have passed.
Facing the rising sun,
young brother sees old brother.
Following the setting sun,
old brother waves to young brother.
Two brothers finally meet
in the center of the Pacific.
