Here we list a few hotels we've had experience with near O'Hare. See the BiddingforTravel.com Chicago hotel list for a good list of options with links to reviews.
- Holiday Inn Select Chicago O'Hare (Rosemont) (10233 W. Higgins Rd., Rosemont, IL; 847-954-8600): The hotel isn't luxurious, but it has the right combination of quality and functional accomodations, accessibility, and price. Most of the doubles in the hotel are actually two-room "suites," with a queen-sized bed in the bedroom (which has a door on it) and another queen-sized bed in the "living" room. This room works great for families. The hotel also has free parking, a free shuttle to O'Hare, whirlpool, and health club. They do not have a free breakfast.
- Hyatt Regency O'Hare (9300 W. Bryn Mawr Ave., Rosemont; 847-696-1234): We're biased because the one time we stayed here we were in one of their honeymoon suites, which are luxurious (they have two floors with an internal spiral staircase.) Still, that being said the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the accomodations were of high quality. This Hyatt has approximately 10 floors, an indoor pool, a health club, and a shuttle to the airport. Parking is not free. Rates: $159.
Any above rates are the nightly room rates, double occupancy, we found online in April 2006 (with no special offers), for a stay from August 4-6, 2006. Free parking refers to whether parking is complementary for registered guests; parking for non-registered guests may or may not also be complementary.
