Font Height

Question

What units is font height in?

Answer

Font heights are not in any kind of standard units; a value of 40 looks (by eye) to be around 24 pt in height. To (approximately) convert to normalized coordinates, multiply a font height by 0.0007 (this value was determined by eye through trial-and-error).
